About Pascal Okafor - The Artist
Pascal Okafor is a Nigerian-born artist currently based in York, England. Despite pursuing a career in Product Management and working as a Transfer Pricing Analyst for multinationals like Pedabo and KPMG, Pascal has always had a deep passion for art. He began creating digital portraits of black people, exploring themes of identity, representation, introspection, and cultural heritage. Over time, he has also dabbled in surreal art, abstracts, and wildlife paintings.
Pascal's work is characterized by textures, intricate details, and storytelling. His art reflects his experiences and is most times self-portraits of sorts intended to convey a particular feeling, thought, or concept.
His work has been exhibited in galleries across Africa and Europe, including the Dakar Art Biennale in Senegal, NFT NYC, ETH Denver, and many others. Pascal has also embraced the growing field of NFTs, with several of his digital pieces available on both Ethereum and Tezos blockchains.
When he's not creating art, Pascal enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the English countryside, hitting the gym, cooking Nigerian cuisine, and connecting with other artists and creatives around the world.
